Plant Walk and Community Flower Planting

May 18 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Join us at 9:00 am for a guided plant walk through the luscious wooded trails at Aberlin Springs!  Led by Aberlin Springs resident herbalist, Maureen Rosner and Jeffrey “the Ax Man” Camealy.  We will have a chance to observe (and maybe even eat!) the wild edibles growing in the forest and we will identify a variety of species of trees (we hope you like to touch bark).  We welcome all ages and anyone with an interest to explore!  No previous forest experience necessary.

Then stay for our Community Flower Planting starting at 10:00.  The beautiful geraniums that adorn our community buildings’ flower boxes will be planted. Also, we are going to plant day lilies on the entry road where grasses are growing in our gravel waterway.  They will be beautiful, love the water and will choke out the grasses.  Jill will have materials ready – just bring your garden gloves and trowel!
